About

Dr Shahin Mohammed MBBS , MD (Paed) , DM(Nephrology), DNB (Nephrology) is currently working as consultant nephrologist and renal transplant physician and he is heading the department of nephrology at Ahalia Diabetes Hospital, Palakkad. The department was established by him in November 2020. Dr Shahin Mohammed completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. He obtained second rank in gold medal exam in his MBBS years. He completed his MD in paediatrics from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. After which he served as senior resident at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram for a year. He then completed his DM in nephrology at SCB Government medical college, Cuttack with first class.

He also has secured DNB degree in nephrology from National Board Of Education. He has completed fellowship in Clinical Nephropathological Certificate by International Society of Nephrology-ANIO.He was trained and involved in live related and deceased transplant program. He also served as senior resident in the department of nephrology at SCB government medical college, Cuttack before joining this institute. He has published papers in Indian Journal of Nephrology and Kidney International supplements. He has presented papers and posters at various national and international conferences. He is also a member of International Society of Nephrology.
